Bergenfield, NJ: House Renovation and Custom Addition
House Renovation and 2,300 sq ft Custom Addition
- Renovation & Addition Project: When Amy’s father’s Parkinson’s disease began to become more difficult to manage, she and her husband decided it was time to move in with her parents. But her parent’s house only has two bedrooms and Amy and her husband have 6 kids between them. Things would get a little too close for comfort in the old homestead. Amy sold their house and the grandparents decided to build an addition to their existing home.
- Remodeling Obstacles: An architect designed blueprints and contractors bid on the project, but none could or would do it for the family’s price. The closest bid was 30% more than the family had budgeted for the job. They were devastated. Fear not – there is happy ending to this story.
- Home Improvement Solutions: We were able to redo the blueprint specifications without changing the square footage and retaining all the options and extras. We meet any and all challenges and we will work with you rather that just give a inflexible quote and dismiss your budgetary concerns.
We attached an entire house to the existing home. This made room for the whole family while insuring that the grandparent’s lifestyle and daily routine was not disrupted in the least. We did all this for 70K less than the first round of contractor’s lowest bid and the family made no concessions or sacrifices to their original ideas. And the lovely new home (as you can see from the pictures), has an eat-in kitchen, living room with vaulted ceiling and fireplace, and master bedroom suite. Now they are, literally and figuratively, one big happy family.
