Back Addition Project by Bergen Remodeling : A Teaneck family (Mom, Dad and their three kids) wanted two improvements to their home – an eat-in kitchen where they could gather as a family at meal times, and some aesthetic improvements to the front of their home, giving it a more upscale look.
They turned to Bergen Remodeling and we did not disappoint.

Teneck Addition Obstacles: It was during a very cold Northeastern winter that the family wanted the remodeling done. This would have been a problem for many remodeling companies. The family may have had to deal with numerous inconveniences and even had to move out while the work was done. This does not pose a problem when you are working with Bergen Remodeling . All the work was done while the family continued to live in their house. They were totally undisturbed by the construction.

Bergen Remodeling's Solutions: We demolished the kitchen and rebuilt a new one to meet kosher specifications. We also added 600 square feet of heated floors. Homeowners love this feature. No more cold feet – you enjoy warm and toasty toes as you fetch your morning coffee. This made the kitchen the warmest room in the house and gives a 21st century spin to the 19th century phrase “hearth and home.” The hearth is no longer just your fireplace.

This Teaneck kitchen also has both island and peninsula counter tops as featured in the picture and is a maple kitchen.

On the second floor Bergen Remodeling added a master bedroom suite/home office combination. The large windows provide lots of light as you can see in the photo. Take a look at the other picture featuring a TREX deck wrapping around house. A TREX deck requires no maintenance whatsoever. We use it a lot in Teneck and all over Bergen County. It weathers the elements and retains its pristine sheen.
This is a religious family, and their home, beyond being an upscale showcase, now has lots of space for themselves and their guests to gather and celebrate the Sabbath and other holidays. The house is designed to foster a sacred feeling of family, something that is often lacking in contemporary American homes, both in the bricks and mortar and in the people who inhabit them.
But not in this house. The heated floor is almost as warm as the familial love that fills this home.
